CBD oil used for trigger finger

Over the last few years CBD vape oil has been receiving much attention. It is one active chemical that cannabis plants can produce in their flowers and leaves.

CBD can interact with our body’s endocannabinoid system for producing a variety of effects. Endocannabinoid system consists of certain cell receptors called CB1 and CB2, which plays a very crucial role to regulate many important biological functions, which includes the inflammatory response.

Most cannabis compounds have similar molecular shape like our endocannabinoids, which allows them to bind to ECS receptors. As an example, THC mimics an endocannabinoid which is called anandamide.

However, unlike THC, CBD will not activate your cannabinoid receptors. Rather, it will enhance the activity of our body’s natural endocannabinoids, for helping them for functioning more effectively.

It will inhibit the activity of enzyme called FAAH, which is responsible to break down anandamide. So, CBD indirectly increases the anandamide levels, which accounts for number of benefits.

Also, CBD works outside endocannabinoid system, which affecting all other cell receptors likes TRPV1. All These receptors are usually involved in perception of heat and pain. They are same receptors which get activated as people eat chili-peppers.

With the interaction with TRPV1 receptors as well as endocannabinoid system, CBD will have positive influence over pain and inflammation. Plenty of research studies support such idea.

Unfortunately, so far there is no research particularly on CBD for the trigger finger. However, there is plenty of evidence to back its usage as anti-inflammatory and painkiller.

As inflammation is critical factor for trigger finger, it will not seem unreasonable for assuming CBD may help relieve few of these symptoms.
